At the end of the day Netanyahu has proved to the Israeli people that he is not a successful war criminal. Israel focused on killing civilians women and children as a tactic to supposedly achieve its ill defined goals. Despite Israel's use of a massive air, sea and ground attack and killing of almost 2000 people majority 80 plus percent civilian women, children and destroying thousands of homes, Israel is even in a worse situation from a long term security perspective.
Gordon Duff: Israel has lost big. The idea that people do not approve of Netanyahu because he failed as a war criminal, the people of Israel whatever protest they have been involved in - this is my opinion now - that they are displeased because Netanyahu has not been successful as a war criminal and (more) war crimes are what the people of Israel have been asking for and they are after him because he has not been successful enough.
Hamas on the other hand has been defiant all the way through against responses to Israeli brutal assaults. Hamas has emerged with much more battlefield experience with successfully killing many more Israeli soldiers on the battlefield (60 plus) than it has in the past.
Duff: Hamas is gaining that same kind of capability. It has had help from the outside. It has got battlefield experience it hasn’t had. It has proven itself to be unified, it has proven itself to be a legitimate force and the more rhetoric that comes out of President Obama trying to refer the Hamas as a terrorist organization, the more he suffers incredibility as well within the US, within the news community even entertainers now openly talk about it.
Criticism of Israel as an apartheid war mongering war criminal nation is now openly being reported even by the news media that used to be pro-Israel in the past and rarely did so. Other than a core group of extremist pro-Israeli congressmen and senators in the US (mostly dual Israeli nationals), the American people by large are criticizing openly Israel and are questioning blind support for Israel. In Europe Boycott Sanction Divestment campaign is emerging with even more powerful calls
Duff: Israel has become fair game. You can criticize Israel when you were not able two years before. Certainly what has become an open issue in the United States is cutting aid to Israel. It is spoken of all the time and it is only American aid that holds Israel together.
